George M. Thiel, P.E., S.W.R.S.

 

George has 30+ years of experience in civil engineering and water resources engineering.
 
Prior to forming his own firm, George worked for the State of Nevada Division of Water Resources, Nevada Department of Environmental Protection and Nevada State Health Department. He brings a unique perspective to his role as project manager on public works projects having worked on “both sides of the desk.”
 
Relevant experience includes Las Vegas Paiute Tribe Wastewater Treatment Plant Design that involved the design, start-up and operations and extensive coordination with Indian Health Services and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Other experience includes the Dayton Utilities water and wastewater system design, Indian Hills GID water and wastewater design, Sunridge Heights Development infrastructure design and City of Yerington water system design.  George has worked closely with multiple mining projects across the state to secure the necessary water rights for dewatering and monitoring activities.  George also is a local area rancher from Minden, Nevada, and has assisted many ranchers and farmers across the State in their water rights needs, from the permitting and certificating process, to title updates, to impacts analysis and protection of existing rights.
 
George is a registered Civil Engineer in Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah and is a certified State Water Rights Surveyor in Nevada.
